What is the difference between the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program and Food Safety Supervisor courses for all other states in Australia? We’re so glad you asked!
Firstly, only approved training providers can deliver the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program so if you are looking for an approved provider – you’re in the right place!
If you’re in NSW and require a NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (affectionately called the ‘blue and orange’ certificate in industry), you must complete the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program.
The biggest difference between the NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program and all other Food Safety Supervisor courses is that the NSW ‘version’ contains additional learning and assessment specific to NSW.
The NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program includes the required two units of competency:
– SITXFSA005 Use Hygiene Practices for Food Safety and
– SITXFSA006 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices
PLUS additional learning and assessment around Key Focus Areas provided by the NSW Food Authority.
When our learners successfully complete our NSW Food Safety Supervisor Program, we process their NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate through the NSW Food Authority and issue it directly.
It’s important that you select the appropriate food safety supervisor course for your location/situation to ensure you are compliant to the food safety training requirements for your state.
