Valid | Valid in Queensland. A Statement of Attainment does not expire once obtained, even though the code identifying this course regularly changes. This means that if you hold a Statement of Attainment for ‘Provide Responsible Service of Gambling’ from anytime in the past, it remains current irrespective of the course code. If you are 18 when you complete this course, you will NOT have vocational outcomes from completing this course. You must be over 18 to work in a gaming venue in Queensland even if you have a valid RSG Statement of Attainment (also known as a certificate.). |

Course Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills, and knowledge required to provide responsible gambling services, and to assist those customers who have issues with problem gambling.
Responsible gambling services must be provided wherever gambling activities are undertaken. In the hospitality industry, the gambling environment is usually referred to as the gaming area and is provided in a range of venues, such as hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, and casinos.

Requirements
To complete this course you need to:
A unique email address not previously used by another student.
A driver’s licence, passport, another form of photo-identity, such as an 18+ card or a student card that includes DOB and photo. You can be any age to complete this course.

Access to a Smartphone, digital recording device, webcam or video camera to video yourself answering questions.

Assessment
You will be assessed using three methods:
- Multiple-choice questions
- Written questions
- Video assessment to assess your communication skills.
Multiple-Choice Questions
The course is broken down into small, manageable sections designed to improve your learning. At the end of each section is a multiple choice quiz. Assessment for this course comprises online quizzes and case studies.
You are required to get all questions in a section before moving to the next section. You will be given feedback questions you answered incorrectly.
If you answer any questions incorrectly (even one!), you will be returned to the beginning of the assessment to attempt ALL the questions for that section again. You can review the learning materials during the assessment. You can take the test as many times as you need.

Written Questions
Read the question and type your answer in the box below. These questions draw from all parts of the course.
Video Assessment
The video assessment requires you respond to gamblers showing the signs of problem gambling.
You are required to be 100% visible in each video assessment. We match the person in the video, to the photo ID you provide during the ID verification process.
To answer these questions, you will need one (1) – only one – of the following:
- Webcam, or
- Video camera from which you can upload a file, or
- Smartphone with internet access and video camera.
Record in the LOWEST resolution possible. Our software is easy to use.
