Queensland Child Protection Training Requirements
Legislation changes are coming April 1st, 2025. What does this mean?
Approved providers of early learning services are required to ensure that key personnel, including nominated supervisors and individuals in day-to-day charge complete accredited child protection training.
This training is essential for fulfilling legal obligations under Section 162A of the Education and Care Services National Law (Queensland).
The units that satisfy these requirements are:
- CHCPRT001 – Identify and report children and young people at risk (superseded by CHCPRT025)
- CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk
- CHCPRT002 – Support the rights and safety of children and young people (superseded by CHCPRT026)
- CHCPRT026 – Support the rights and safety of children and young people
- CHCECE057 – Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles
If you have key personnel (including nominated supervisors and individuals in day-to-day charge at your service) that do not have any of the above units, we’ve got you covered! Clear to Work offers the CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk unit online.
