This Stronger Boards Course will provide you with essential governance education for the 21st Century and allows you to study at your own pace, as well as compare your learnings with fellow Board/Committee members.

As a Board/Committee member you have the ultimate responsibility for overseeing your not-for-profit, managing its finances, its operations and managing volunteers and staff (if you have any). Yet this unpaid role can be immensely rewarding when you experience the practice of leadership, the results of what a purposeful team can produce and the positive impact your organisation makes.
People are at different levels of knowledge and understanding on a Board, so this course is designed to create a common level of understanding and a structure to apply what you have learnt to your Board meetings. You will learn how to work better as a team, identify individual strengths and harness differences.

The Stronger Boards course is split into 10 Modules over 3 Key Areas:
Key Area 1 – Govern Well
Key Area 2 – Lead with Strength
Key Area 3 – Grow Sustainably
Each Module will take approximately 60-90 minutes to complete depending on previous skills and knowledge. The course is self-paced and there is no time limit for completion of the course. It is recommended to complete one Module per week or month, depending on the decision by your Board. This course can be completed individually or as a study group with your fellow Board members. It is advised not to complete the course in one sitting.
