Running Effective Meetings - $29
This course is concerned with small working meetings for groups that require participants’ energy and commitment.
Typically, participants in a meeting aim to achieve some kind of result from their time together; whether solving problems, brainstorming, or simply sharing information. When done well, participants will know what the meeting is about and how to utilise individual participants’ strengths.
Course Objectives: In this course, we will:
- Explore the value of meetings as a management tool
- Recognise the critical planning step that makes meeting time more effective
- Identify process tools that can help create an open and safe forum for discussion
- Review how to run effective virtual meetings
- Develop and practice techniques for managing conflict in meetings
COURSE INFORMATION
- It takes 3 minutes to enrol.
- The course takes 2-4 hours to complete depending on your existing knowledge. No need to finish the course in one session! Log in and out as many times as you like, the system remembers where you are up to.
- From the date and time of purchase, you have 4 weeks to complete your training. At the end of the 4 week enrolment period, your course will expire, and will no longer be accessible.
- Please note there are no refunds if you do not complete your course within this timeframe; however, you can purchase a 14-day extension to extend access to the course which will provide additional time to complete the training. This option is available for 90 days from the original date of expiry.
Click “Start Course Now” button, enter your details, and proceed to the payment page. After payment, you are given immediate access to your “My Training”. Simply click on the name of the course when you are ready to start. No need to wait for an email with log in details!
The course is broken into sections. At the end of each section is an assessment. Please read “How Will I Be Assessed” for more details on assessment.
This course is a great foundational course for anyone who regularly needs to schedule, run, facilitator, or chair meetings. It provides a comprehensive overview of the basic elements you will need to consider to execute an effective meeting.
At the end of the course there is a final quiz. You are required to answer all questions in the final quiz correctly in order to pass the course and receive a completion certificate.
1. Read the question;
2. Select your answer;
3. Press “Submit”;
4. Move onto the next question;
5. At the end of the questions, you will receive the result of your assessment.
If you answer all questions correctly, you will progress to the next section. If you answer any questions incorrectly, you will be given feedback on which question you answered incorrectly. You will then be returned to the beginning of the learning materials for the section to review and attempt the assessment again. You can review the learning materials during the assessment.
